THE 2016 VINTAGE AT CHÂTEAU BROWN

A large terroir of gravel rich in flint, quartz and yelps, the Pessac-Léognan appellation extends over 20 km south of the city of Bordeaux and is home to some of the most beautiful estates in the Graves, such as Château Brown. Its vineyard experienced the same climatic vagaries as the rest of Bordeaux, namely a wet and mild spring, and an almost scorching summer. But the rains at the end of September made it possible to revitalize the vines and produce magnificent Cabernet Sauvignon grapes! This vigorous grape variety with small berries rich in tannins, reached optimal maturity thanks to the record sunshine of summer 2016, which gives it a rare elegance.

CHÂTEAU BROWN 2016 RED: BALANCED AND VERY ELEGANT

The 2016 vintage of Château Brown appears in a dark and bluish color . The nose of candied black fruits is captivating, exhaling notes of plums, cherries and sweet spices. On the palate, Château Brown 2016 reveals silky and precise tannins, carrying a supple and particularly velvety texture. The finish is balanced, with a soft roundness all in lightness.
